Every video must use a speech bubble, either ours available on the props page, or one you make yourself. Write or draw a word or image that symbolizes you, your money mistake or what you learned. See our rules page for more details.

Tips

When You’re Trying to Get Votes:

  • Post your video on Facebook, MySpace, wherever you “do” what you “do”
  • Blog about your entry
  • Write on your forums to get your Internet community to vote for you
  • Text your friends and tell them to text their friends
  • Bring your class free candy (and tell them to vote!)
  • Email your parents at work (believe us, they really want you to win a scholarship!, and they’ll email their coworkers, their friends, your grandma… remember that embarrassing Christmas family photo they emailed to the entire known continent… unleash that parent-pride power!)
  • Use our voting toolkit, available once voting begins on Thursday, April 15th.

When You’re Making Your Video:

  • Use your personal story to make your point
  • Use your style of personality to get it across
  • Use a friend!
  • Use some props (yours or ours)
  • Try interesting locations
  • Add music
  • Be yourself (but beyond a talking head!)
  • National Credit Union Administration
  • Equal Housing Opportunity
