Official Contest Rules
BUCK THE NORM VIDEO SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to individuals who are legal residents of the State of Oklahoma or a TFCU member. Must be at least 16 years old as of November 2009 and a current high school, vo-tech or college student at time of contest entry. Contest begins Tuesday, January 26, 2010 and ends Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. For purposes of these Official Rules, all times Central Standard Time (CST).
Tinker Federal Credit Union employees, volunteers and their family members and Third Degree Advertising employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to enter or win. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
ENTRIES
You may enter the Tinker Federal Credit Union Buck the Norm video scholarship contest by submitting/uploading your video (60 seconds or less and including speech bubble prop either downloaded from website or created) in the appropriate entry form on our website, www.buckthenorm.com. The following file types will be accepted, .WMV, .AVI, .MOV and .MPG. All required fields must be completed for eligibility.
Entries must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. CST, Thursday, March 25, 2010. Entries must be submitted under one name. All entries become the exclusive property of Tinker Federal Credit Union (Sponsor) and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor reserves the right to discard any videos containing inappropriate content. By submitting your entry, you grant permission to Tinker Federal Credit Union to post your submission on the www.buckthenorm.com website, TinkerFCU.org, YouTube.com website and affiliate websites.
E-MAIL CHANGE OF ADDRESS POLICY
It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify the Sponsor in writing if the entrant changes his/her e-mail address. (To do so, email: buckthenorm@gmail.com with the subject line, “CHANGE OF EMAIL ADDRESS”)
The Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic; including without limitation the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information online, or for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, delayed, stolen, misdirected or illegible entries. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Sponsor is not responsible for the use of copyrighted material such as music, images or video. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. All video entries may be loaded on YouTube and contestant will be subject to YouTube’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. In case of dispute as to identity of a winner, such entry will be declared made by the registered user of the e-mail account at the time the entry was submitted, and if a prize is won, and such registered user is a valid entrant, the prize will be awarded to such registered user.
PRIZES
The following prize(s) will be awarded: Number of Winners: 1 Grand Prize winner, 1 Runner-up winner, 1 Third Place winner, 1 Bucky’s Choice winner. Description of Prize: One video will be selected as the grand prize winner and winner shall receive a $2,000 scholarship and Apple MacBook. One video will be selected as the Runner-up winner and winner shall receive a $1,000 scholarship. One video will be selected as the Third Place winner and winner shall receive a $500 scholarship. One video will be selected as the Bucky’s Choice winner and winner shall receive an iPod Touch mp3 player.
No alternative prize, cash, or other substitution is permitted except by the Sponsor in the event of prize unavailability. All federal, state, provincial, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
WINNERS
Selection of Winner: All videos will be screened by TFCU and deemed eligible to compete. Grand Prize, Runner-up and Third Place winners will be selected by online voting. Bucky’s Choice winner will be selected by TFCU. All decisions of the Sponsor and online voting are final and binding. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone. The Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for any late, lost, or misdirected notification, or for winner’s unsuccessful efforts to claim any prize.
By accepting and/or using prize, the winner agrees to the use of his/her video, name, voice and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final. Sponsor, agents and representatives of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (iii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel Contest at any time if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest.
By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees, to release and hold Sponsor and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
ONLINE VOTING
Qualifying videos will be posted to http://www.buckthenorm.com on Thursday, April 1, 2010 for online voting to begin. Voting will take place Thursday, April 1, 2010 through Thursday, April 15, 2010. Winners will be announced Thursday, April 23, 2010. All videos will compete head to head online during the voting time frame. The videos with the most total votes will be determined the Grand Prize, Runner-up and Third Place winners. Votes will be accepted online only, one vote per day per email address.
