So, I’ve decided that I’m going to buy my first house. After a couple of years of thinking about it I decided to pull the trigger. One of the main reasons I decided to do it now was because the government is giving first time homebuyers $8,000 (you have to close on your house by November 30, 2009 to get the cash). Free money, you say? A gift from Uncle Sam? Don’t mind if I do!

Over the next couple weeks I’ll be updating you guys on my journey to home ownership. Plus, I’ll be providing some useful information if you decide you want to buy your own place. Also, one of my favorite movies this summer was The Hangover. It could be the greatest comedy of the last decade. Since fall has arrived I’ll be honoring my favorite movie of the summer by incorporating quotes from the movie that go along with each step of this process just to liven it up a bit.
